The CEA is the European insurance and reinsurance federation. Through its 33 member bodies, the national insurance associations, the CEA represents all types of insurance and reinsurance undertakings, eg pan-European companies, monoliners, mutuals and SMEs. The Insurance Institute of South Africa is a professional membership institute for the South African insurance industry. The Institute maintains a central body of knowledge and develops and sustain relationships with local insurance institutes and industry bodies, plus other similar institutes, worldwide. The offices of the Institute are centrally located in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.

The Life Insurance Association of Japan (LIAJ) started as an incorporated association with formal sanction by the authorities concerned on December 7, 1908.

Since then, the Association has continued to make efforts for the sound development of the life insurance industry.
